10 Star Trek Cameos You (Probably) Missed

4. Adam Scott - Star Trek: First Contact

Adam Scott has been many things in his career. He was the straight-laced accountant on Parks and Rec, Ben Wyatt, and he was also the suffering husband to Reese Witherspoon's character in Big Little Lies. Before all of this though, he was piloting one tough little ship in Star Trek: First Contact, sans the famous beard.

Scott is the helmsman during the USS Defiant's big scene against the Borg. While the ship was designed to fight the cybernetic fiends, once again Starfleet wasn't able to hold them off and the Defiant was taking a hell of a beating before the Enterprise-E arrived. In fact, mere moments before the Sovereign-class ship swooped in to save the day, Commander Worf was about to send himself, Scott, and the crew of the Defiant to Sto-Vo-Kor.

Worf ordered the ship to be set to a collision course, though the crew was saved before this order could be carried out. Initially, the Defiant was to be destroyed in the movie until Ira Steven Behr stepped in. While Scott only appears on-screen for a few moments, with no explanation as to whether he survives the Borg attack or not, one hopes that he got through all of the time-travel shenanigans and made it back to Deep Space Nine in time to see the Dominion coming over the horizon.
