10 Star Wars Details Only Explained Outside Of The Films

The biggest question that has vexed Star Wars fans since the new trilogy came out has been where the hell did Maz Kanata get Luke Skywalker's lightsaber? This mostly has to do with The Force Awakens teasing the audience by straight up telling them that they'll explain later. We had to wait four damn years for later to come, and even then we don't know a lot.

We last saw Luke's lightsaber falling into the bleak void of nothing on Bespin after Vader gave Luke a Skywalker baptism. AKA, he cut off his god damn arm.

In the Star Wars comics written by Charles Soule, we see Luke in the first issue returning to Bespin to try and get back his lightsaber. We then see a hooded figure standing there, who then hands Luke his lightsaber back while telling him to "follow his destiny".

This series of Star Wars books has just started, and since it's a monthly series, it'll be a while before we find out EXACTLY how Maz got it. But we do know how Luke got it back, so it shouldn't take long to get the rest of the info.
