10 Star Wars Moments That Will Haunt You Forever
We're still not over the Star Wars: The Clone Wars finale.
It's safe to say that the galaxy far, far away has had quite an impact on many a generation.
Whether it was the sight of a lightsaber igniting for the very first time, the uttering of one of many unquestionably iconic lines, or the introduction of a soon-to-be favourite character, every Star Wars lover on our planet has more than a few moments that left their mark on them for different reasons.
Not all unforgettable Star Wars occurrences live long in the memory because of the joyful feelings you remember experiencing during a first watch (or even play), however.
Sometimes the sheer amount of trauma and heartbreak caused by a rather distressing moment is so powerful, it's difficult to ever fully let go of just how devastating, terrifying or shocking certain scenes really were in this popular franchise.
In fact, in the case of the following 10 entries, you could even go as far as to say that these traumatic deaths, bittersweet escapes, and other shocking moments are each capable of haunting viewers... forever.
So, with that in mind, and with a salute to the fine folks over at r/StarWars who inspired this list with this post, here are those haunting Star Wars moments that you have struggled or will struggle to shake off.
10. I Can't Swim - Andor
The first season of Tony Gilroy's Andor is the sort of show you simply cannot take your eyes off.
A major reason for that is the many complex and captivating figures the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel series focuses on, with perhaps the most engaging of the lot being the Narkina 5 Floor Manager, Kino Loy - played by Andy Serkis in a surprise return to the galaxy far, far away.
Going from being a rather stern prisoner looking to get their work done as efficiently as possible until his sentence is completed, to a valuable ally of Cassian Andor once it became clear that none of the prisoners were getting freed, Loy goes on quite the journey during his few appearances.
That's what makes the revelation that he "can't swim" just as the inmates' freedom is finally just a swim away such an upsetting moment - one that fans are still haunted by even with it being confirmed by the actor that Loy thankfully didn't die here (via ET).
It was a painful emotional gut-punch to see Kino work so hard to help his fellow prisoners escape the facility only to stop at the last hurdle, and the words "I can't swim" will now forever leave a pit in the stomachs of those who put themselves through the whole Narkina 5 ordeal.
