10 Star Wars Planets That Were Destroyed
3. Malachor V
The Sith Lords began with planetary destruction, only fair the game ends on it as well!
Following the revelation that Kreia was a Sith Lord (though there weren't many who didn't guess), Meetra Surik travelled back to where her journey began and where the Mandalorian Wars ended, Malachor V.
This world saw the final battle of the war, in which Revan defeated Mandalore the Ultimate in single combat in the skies above the planet. On the ground, the fighting between the Mandalorians and the Republic still raged until Meetra Surik unleashed the Mass Shadow Generator, which caused the gravity of Malachor to suddenly increase exponentially, crushing everything and everyone on its surface.
The world itself survived, engulfed by fierce storms and jagged black mountains which overtook its once fertile landscape, orbited by the husks of battered starships and held together only by the weapon that destroyed it. A hidden Sith Academy also survived the initial destruction, and it's where Surik confronted and killed Kreia, before the Mass Shadow Generator was activated again and, unable to bear the crushing gravity, broke apart and the graveyard world was lost once and for all.
