Last Entry: Curse of Chucky (2013)

Since his big screen debut back in 1988's Child's Play, Chucky has turned up in a further five films, the last of which was the direct-to-video Curse of Chucky. Unlike all of his contemporaries, whether it be Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, or Freddy Krueger, Chucky is really the only slasher icon to have never had his series undergo a reboot, an amazing feat considering the franchise is nearly 30 years old at this point.

And fortunately for fans, he's on his way back already. On October 3rd, the latest entry, Cult of Chucky, will be hitting home video, picking up several years after the events of Curse to catch up with that sequel's lead, Nica Pierce, who has been institutionalized in the wake of Chucky's murders. But when people around her begin to die again, she realizes Chucky may be back for more.

Cult also features the return of Alex Vincent's Andy, who made a cameo in Curse after the character had sat out the franchise after Child's Play 3 back in 1991, as well as Jennifer Tilly's Tiffany.

And if writer/director Don Mancini, who has remained firmly behind the franchise he created, has anything to say about it, this won't be the last we'll see of Chucky, as whether it involves trapping people with him on a train or sending him to space, Mancini's passion for the little killer hasn't stopped burning.
