Last Film Entry: Halloween (2018)

What's Going On? What's going on, is that two Halloween movies are on the way that are supposedly due to conclude the franchise once and for all.

Of course, horror hounds aren't unfamiliar with such claims, with Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter and Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare being far from the 'final' instalments of their respective franchises. As it stands though, 2018's Halloween picture is being followed up with this October's Halloween Kills and next October's Halloween Ends - which will bring an end to the murderous spree of Michael Myers.

Like certain other horror favourites, the Halloween franchise is one to have been derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Until the world was thrown upside down last year, Halloween Kills was due to hit cinemas in October 2020, and this coming October was meant to serve up Halloween Ends.

From what's known about Halloween Kills, that next entry in the series will see Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode, her family and the other residents of Haddonfield all making a stand against the bloodshed and brutality delivered by the Shape since the night he came home back in 1978.

All of those involved in 2018's Halloween - including director David Gordon Green and consultant and composer John Carpenter - are back for these next two back-to-back shot Halloween offerings.
