10 Steps To Successfully Reboot The X-Men Into The MCU
1. Leave Wolverine Out Of It
While fans would have loved to have seen Hugh Jackman's Wolverine show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to share the screen with some of the franchise's most famous faces, the Aussie actor has constantly reiterated that his time as the adamantium-infused mutant is done for good.
Wolverine will inevitably be re-cast at some point in the future, but when it comes to the X-Men's debut outing in the MCU, they would be much better off leaving the character out of the movie completely. It doesn't matter who ends up getting cast in the role, because their every movement and gesture would be unfairly scrutinized, contrasted and compared to Jackman's time with the claws, and could potentially make or break the entire movie as a result.
Jackman's time as Logan is arguably the single most iconic run of performances that the comic book genre has ever seen, and rebooting him at the earliest opportunity would be the wrong direction for the MCU's X-Men to take, as well as a thankless and virtually impossible task for whoever ends up following in his mutton-chopped footsteps.
