10 Steps To Successfully Reboot The X-Men Into The MCU

3. Use Characters We Haven't Seen Before

One of the major problems that comes with rebooting a franchise that spanned across twelve movies and included spinoffs, sequels and reboots is figuring out how to find a new perspective on such well-known source material that eventually became incredibly repetitive the longer the series went on.

We've seen all of the major characters already, and most of them have been rebooted at least once, and while it would be no doubt be a lot more difficult to market an X-Men movie that doesn't feature anyone people have heard of, Marvel Studios shouldn't just take the easy route and bring back every single familiar face at the expense of those that have never been given the chance to shine on the big screen.

While the likes of Professor Xavier, Magneto, Cyclops and several more are a virtual certainty to be seen again in the MCU's reboot, there's little reason to dip back into Fox's back catalogue to fill out the rest of the ensemble. Mr. Sinister seems like the obvious candidate to play the villain, but there's also more than enough room for the likes of Sunfire, Forge, Avalanche, Polaris and countless others to make their big screen debuts.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
