10 Terrible 2014 Horror Movies To Avoid This Halloween

2. A Haunted House 2

The Pitch: A follow-up to last year's Marlon Wayans-starring horror comedy, with Jaime Pressly thrown into the mix for good measure. Why It Sucked: Marlon Wayans continues to completely hurl his talent away by starring in another wretched horror comedy, one that's just as irritating, crude and obnoxious as the first A Haunted House, Wayans' commitment to his part (as is clear from the above image) would be almost admirable if it weren't so thoroughly misguided, in a film largely consisting of tired racial humour and lame spoofs of horror movies some viewers will have long forgotten about (like The Possession). Without Wayans the film would likely be even worse, but it's still unconscionably awful. Will There Be A Sequel?: Though A Haunted House 2 made almost $24 million against a mere $4 million budget, its box office haul was a steep drop from the original film ($60 million against a $2.5 million budget), so perhaps Open Road will be satisfied with their lot and hopefully move onto something else.
