The Resident Evil franchise has a bit of a history of jarring CGI creatures.

The first big-screen adaptation infamously unleashed that largely digital Licker, for example. But if you thought that almost two decades' worth of technological advancements could save lovers of this video game franchise from being exposed to some quite horrendous digital monsters, you would be wrong... so very wrong.

19 years after Paul W. S. Anderson's movie actually threw out some practical zombie canines, 2021's Welcome to Raccoon City brought with it some needlessly digital hounds.

During that Johannes Roberts-directed picture, Chief Irons (Donal Logue) finds himself being attacked by the undead dogs.

The sound of these creepy mutts closing in is admittedly quite chilling, but those chills swiftly transformed into chuckles when one of the CG creatures edged closer to the seemingly doomed Chief.

While the aforementioned practical dogs felt like a quite unsettling threat due to the authentic way they moved and the effective make-up applied, this silly digi-dog pulled viewers right out of the action and briefly dumped them into a video game - and a poor one at that.

Not even the dark setting could disguise the fact this puppy wasn't up to snuff.

Rather than haunting you forevermore, that poorly crafted CGI zombie dog face will live long in the memory because of just how unquestionably crap it looked.
