10 Terrible Characters In Otherwise Awesome Movies

10. Scud (Norman Reedus) - Blade 2

He may be the toast of fandom now thanks to The Walking Dead, but Norman Reedus wasn't always the embodiment of badass machismo. 2002's Blade 2 saw him reunite with Guillermo del Toro, the director who gave him his first movie role in 1997's Mimic, but the results weren't necessarily career-launching.

Taking over from a temporarily displaced Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) as Blade's new gadget guy, Scud is a comic relief character who talks trash, calls the eponymous anti-hero 'B,' and constantly has a joint in his mouth. In other words, he seems like the creation of a focus group designed to capture what teenage boys find funny and cool. As a direct result, he comes off extraordinarily forced, unconvincing, and above all else extremely annoying.

Reedus obviously managed to bounce back okay in the years that followed, but del Toro still has an unfortunate tendency to fill his movies with irritating supporting characters, as we'll see again later.
