10 Terrible Movies That Made Great Actors Look Like Failed Amateurs

4. Kate Winslet - Movie 43

Movie 43 is not so much a film, but rather a scatological sketch-show hiding behind a myriad of slabs from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Tasteless, revolting, and mindnumbingly stupid, Peter Farrelly's creation deserves condemnation for bringing down an astonishing mass of movie stars, but perhaps its worst sin is pulling the magnetic Kate Winslet into the unwelcome company of the cinematic cesspit. Starring in the first segment of the film, entitled The Catch, Winslet plays a woman who goes on a date with Hugh Jackman - a respected and handsome bachelor. As they sit at their restaurant table, Jackman promptly whips off his scarf to reveal a set of testicles drooping from his chin. The entire joke is that whilst Winslet can see them; nobody else can. The whole thing is bereft of laughs, and ends with slice of sickness as Jackman proceeds to rest his chin-danglers on top of a toddlers head. Amazingly, the film gets worse, but at least Winslet's little cameo ends here. Watching Movie 43 resembles bathing in sewage. You come out feeling dirty and appalled, as though a thousand showers wouldn't cleanse you of the putrid stench. This may go some way to explaining the movie's conception. Indeed, Farrelly probably believes that the thought of splashing around in manure is absolutely hilarious. Meh, he's free to do as he pleases. But to pull Kate Winslet into this torrid mess? Unforgivable.
