10 Things DC Fans Don't Want To Accept About The DC Extended Universe

6. Ben Affleck Is The Best Big Screen Batman

For whatever reason, there's a certain amount of snobbery surrounding Batman. He's one of the most iconic comic book characters ever created, and whenever an actor is cast as the Caped Crusader... well, God help them, because a tonne of backlash is pretty much guaranteed to follow.

That was definitely the case when Ben Affleck was announced as the latest actor to don the cape and cowl, and DC fans went nuts over the former Daredevil daring to enter the DC Extended Universe.

Well, despite how poorly the character was written - he killed, for starters - Affleck's Dark Knight exceeded everyone's expectations in movies that didn't do the actor and filmmaker justice. Some DC fans admittedly warmed to his take on the hero, but good luck getting any of them to admit that he's actually by far the best version of the character on screen to date!

Instead, names like Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, and Val Kilmer still come up in conversation, proving that most DC fans won't admit when they're wrong, will hate on pretty much every casting decision ever, and can't appreciate a strong performance over the nostalgia factor.
