2. Dwayne Johnson Is Involved

Twitter extraordinaire Dwayne Johnson sparked quite a bit of speculation at the beginning of January by stating that he would be partnering up with DC Comics in the near future to "create the cool badassery". While the only confirmation since then has been additional tweets from The Rock himself, it seems like a sure bet that Dwayne Johnson is involved. This is massive for DC and Warner Brothers. Johnson has the physicality and the charisma to carry a franchise, he's a big box office draw, and most importantly he's actually a pretty great actor. He's not taking home an Oscar any time soon, but he's one of the most refreshingly natural screen performers of his caliber - there's not a trace of arrogance in any of his roles of late, and he's clearly having an absolute blast with everything he does. The lack of specificity has allowed the internet to mull over every DC Comics character and Johnson's likelihood of being cast. Is it Green Lantern John Stewart? Is it Black Adam? Lobo? There are a lot of great potential roles for The Rock in the DC Cinematic Universe, and hopefully that role will be an important one.
