10 Things We Expect To Happen In The DC Cinematic Universe

8. €And So Does The Flash

The casting front for the Man of Steel sequel has held no news for any portrayals of Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West, or anyone else who could conceivably take up the mantle of the speedster Flash. Like Wonder Woman, Flash is long overdue for his own solo outing in a major motion picture, and the early days of the DC Cinematic Universe will almost certainly bring just that. Grant Gustin will be playing Barry Allen in the CW's upcoming television series The Flash, which will likely tie-in to the CW's current DC Comics series Arrow. The possibility has been raised that these shows will exist in the same shared universe as the DC films, but recent comments from Zack Snyder and David Goyer have all but dispelled that rumour. And that's a good thing, especially because Barry Allen should be played by someone with a little more screen presence than the kid from Glee. That said, no names have been officially thrown into the ring to play the Scarlet Speedster. It was rumoured at one time that Flash would have a role in the Man of Steel sequel, but now it seems Snyder and Co. would have to shoehorn him in for a cameo at best. Like Wonder Woman, Flash just deserves better.
