Chris Evans may only have three movies left, but Sebastian Stan signed a nine-picture contract when he signed on for Marvel. If youre a Captain America fan, youll know that James Barnes, a.k.a. Like in the story, Bucky is expected to regain his memory at the end of the film, which will leave him feeling guilty about the actions he committed while brainwashed, especially towards his one-time friend. Hell attempt to seek redemption. This ties into the previous entry. With Steve Rogers dead, the Captain America mantle is up for the taking. After a lot inner turmoil over whether he deserves to carry the shield, Bucky will eventually put on the mask and become the new Captain America. Thats not to say that Bucky can replace Steve Rogers because he cant, but at the very least he can aspire to Steves legacy and try to be a better person while being Captain America. Also, with Phase 4 possibly focusing on new Marvel characters, it might be refreshing to see a new Captain America joining the fray. Of course, hes not going to completely act like the original. In the comics, Bucky wore a pistol to use while fighting enemies. When asked by a reporter if carrying the gun made him less of a superhero, Bucky responded, The weapons dont make or unmake the man, or the hero. Theyre simply tools.
