10 Things In The DCEU That Make No Sense

5. It Should Be Easy To Keep The Suicide Squad In Line

The Flash Vision
Warner Bros.

Amanda Waller hires the worst of the worst for the Suicide Squad. Because all the members are crazed killers who will stab Waller in the back the first chance they get, she has installed a nanite bomb in their necks that will blow their heads off with the flick of a switch.

When one of the team members, Harley Quinn, abandons her mission, Waller orders Rick Flag to activate the bomb in her neck.

Since the Joker deactivated the bomb, it doesn’t work. However, there’s nothing to stop Flag from shooting her in the head.

What makes this plothole more confusing is when Flag smashes the detonator controls in the bar scene, meaning that he can't use it to activate the nanite bombs. The camera immediately cuts to Harley Quinn looking at her neck in the mirror, realising that the bomb is now inert.

However, Harley Quinn's bomb was ALREADY deactivated by the Joker. There was an entire scene dedicated to it! How did the director forget that? This moment is frustrating because it could have been avoided if it simply didn't show Harley Quinn reacting to Flag destroying the controls.
