10 Things Marvel Fans Don't Want To Accept About Sony's Marvel Universe
7. More Than One Villain Is Never A Good Idea
Every Spider-Man franchise has had a villain problem. Spider-Man 3 struggled to effectively balance Sandman, a new Green Goblin, and Venom, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 completely wasted The Rhino and its Green Goblin, while even Spider-Man: Homecoming dropped the ball on the Shockers (the likes of Molten Man and Hydro-Man deserved better in Far From Home too).
Do you notice a recurring theme there? Those were all movies with more than one lead villain, and as desperate as fans are to see the Sinister Six assemble on the big screen, that honestly doesn't seem like the best idea for any franchise revolving around the webbed warrior.
If these movies can't even handle two or three bad guys at the same time, then what hope do six have? Even if they've been introduced in previous movies, that's almost inevitably going to see some of them fall by the wayside, and Sony's plans for a Sinister Six spinoff sound so bad that they clearly wouldn't fare much better in an adventure devoted entirely to them.
The Sinister Six could be great in live-action, but one baddie at a time might be for the best for now.
