10 Things Marvel Fans Don't Want To Accept About The MCU

7. They're Not Overly Comic Accurate Movies

Captain America Civil War
Marvel Studios

Ask most fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe whether these movies are comic accurate, and they'll wax lyrical about how, unlike other studios, they're all massively faithful to the source material. In fact, the likes of Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures can't come close to the way Marvel Studios lovingly brings the comic books they grew up reading to the big screen!

Except, that's not exactly true. Marvel Studios certainly does a great job of sticking to the spirit of the comics, but Captain America: Civil War played as fast and loose with Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's Civil War as Logan did with their Old Man Logan story.

Spider-Man is another great example; Sony Pictures came under fire for how the web-slinger was portrayed in movies like Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man, but when was the last time you read a Spidey comic where Peter Parker basically can't operate without a father figure?

Marvel Studios tells great stories and borrows a lot of cool ideas from the comics, but there's no way they're any more accurate than what other studios deliver.
