10 Things MCU Fans Found Too Distracting

7. Korg's Commentary

After the incredible success of Thor: Ragnarok, the movie that lit a fire in the God of Thunder’s solo franchise and re-invigorated the character himself, Love and Thunder should have carried on the good work five years later. Unfortunately however, this couldn’t have been further from the truth.

There were so many things wrong with the fourth installment in the Thor franchise, far too many to list here, but one such problem was Korg. Previously he had been funny and charming, whereas just about everything he said and did in his Phase Four return fell flat. Aside from the humour missing the mark, it was his commentary that fans couldn’t get on with.

His voiceover told the story of Thor, while consistently getting Jane Foster’s name wrong, and at the end delivered what is easily one of the cheesiest and most cringeworthy lines in the entire MCU to date. The movie just didn’t need this, though Love and Thunder wasn’t even the start of it.

At the conclusion of Ragnarok, there is a poignant moment where Thor and a ship full of Asgardians watch as their home is destroyed. Well, this should have been a poignant, powerful moment, but instead Korg spoke all the way through it, turning it into a comedic moment that just didn't need to be comedic.
