10 Things Movie Fans Find Too Distracting

6. Characters Not Being Properly Killed Off

Major characters are often killed off in movies in order to give the surviving players new motivation and add emotional weight to a story.

Apollo Creed being destroyed in the middle of a ring, Mufasa falling to his death and Albus Dumbledore's heart-breaking end at the hands of Severus Snape all seriously hit home due to the long term effects their demises had on the likes of Rocky Balboa, Simba and Harry Potter...and the fact they didn't miraculously come back to life later down the road!

Yet, in modern times producers seem terrified of legitimately allowing a beloved character to rest in peace. Nick Fury's death in The Winter Soldier, Superman's sacrifice in Batman V Superman and Captain Jack Sparrow's conclusion in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest were each eventually undone in later films (or even during the very same movie!).

This chickening out of such significant endings time and time again has forced audiences to now feel a little skeptical whenever a character is cut down out of nowhere. Instead of allowing fans to invest in the reality of an adored character being completely lost, people are now left constantly questioning whether they're actually gone for the remainder of the runtime...which is just damn exhausting.
