10 Things You Need To Know About Mad Max: Fury Road
7. There's Supposed To Be Two Films
The on-again, off-again nature of Fury Road's production may have hampered it, but Mad Max: Fury Road was originally pitched with a second film, Furiosa, which was to film back-to-back with it. From everything that is known about the production, that hasn't happened - but the script is done, and if the movie is successful, you can expect to see Furosia at some point in the future. Lets just hope it doesn't take several decades this time. On a related note - according to a 2011 report, a sixth Mad Max script was in the works, and nearly finished. This news was dropped by producing partner Doug Mitchell during an interview with the Australian Financial Review talking about the budget of the new film. That would mean there's a possible film after the proposed Furiosa.
