10 Things That Could Save The Transformers Movies

3. An Actual Story

Not to say that any of the four films have lacked an actual plot, just that those plots are stretched, clunky, ridiculous and full of holes. When one dissects the basic plot for Revenge Of The Fallen, it's nothing short of campy ridiculousness. Age Of Extinction and the original 2007 Transformers had some sense to their plots, but given the vast selection of stories that occupy other films, TV series, comic books and video games, one would think Roberto Orci, Ehren Kruger and Alex Kurtzman could have taken some inspiration and crafted a story that's a bit more rewarding. This might be yet another excuse to bring Simon Furman into the fold - for all his overuse in the comics world of Transformers, he certainly knows how to mold a decent story.
