10 Things That Never Happen in Virus Movies (But Should)

7. Bicycles being used instead of driving vehicles or walking

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88e3vpFmebw Post-civilisation survivors spend a lot of their time walking, riding horses and scouring the Earth for precious fuel to power cars and trucks. But why don€™t we see any cyclists? Riding a bike is quicker and less effort than walking. It doesn€™t need any fuel. Bikes are completely sustainable modes of transport for the new world of zombie survivalists. So where did all the bikes go? Why do we never, ever see people using them? I guess it€™s because cycling is uncinematic. It€™s too easy. Walking or salvaging petrol encapsulates the struggle of surviving the virus apocalypse. Which is fair enough. But you€™d think George A. Romero could have given us one bicycle.
