10 Things The Guardians Of The Galaxy Sequel Mustn't Do

1. Lose The Humour

There is something of a theme in the world of comic book movies that sees them taking a darker turn in sequels and modern reboots. Iron Man 3 was darker than its predecessors, for example, while Man of Steel and the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy were darker than any Superman or Batman movies that had come before them. As a result, it's not unrealistic to expect that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 might be somewhat darker than the first movie - but we don't want that. While Guardians did have emotion and a truly dangerous threat to the universe, it was all about wackiness and irreverent humour - it's what made the team so likeable - and that shouldn't be changed. Even if there's a serious theme to the movie - such as Peter Quill seeking out his father - that constantly humorous tone should not be dropped. We'd be extremely disappointed as an audience if it was. So there you have it - ten things the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel mustn't do. Did you like this article?
