10 Things To Expect From Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3

1. Avengers: Infinity War - Part II (May 3, 2019)

Whereas Phase 1 culminated in The Avengers and Phase 2 raises the stakes with Age of Ultron, Marvel Studios' Phase 3 covers the Earthbound, supernatural and cosmic aspects of their shared cinematic universe, meaning that one movie simply isn't enough to contain the fallout from Thanos' relentless search for the Infinity Gems. It almost goes without saying that Avengers: Infinity War Part II is almost guaranteed to be the biggest superhero movie ever, both in budget along with scope and sheer scale. With the foundations of Phase 3 firmly in place (not to mention Infinity War Part I), the concluding chapter will likely focus almost entirely on the epic battle between the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Mad Titan, with the fate of the entire galaxy at stake. Even more tantalizing is the prospect of almost every major character in the studio's canon uniting together in what promises to be the ultimate superhero showdown, depending on how the movies of Phase 3 play out. With new characters being introduced, long-standing alliances being fractured and those all-important multi-picture contracts running out for some of the studio's biggest names, just who will be left to wage the Infinity War? It would be safe to assume that every fan of the MCU is hoping negotiations can ensure the involvement of everyone, with audiences across the world salivating at the potential prospect of every single one of the studio's heroes featuring in the same movie, facing off against a common threat. A blockbuster that potentially features Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, Black Panther and the Guardians of the Galaxy fighting alongside each other could potentially become the biggest must-see event in movie history, and that's without even factoring in Captain Marvel and the Inhumans, both of whom make their big-screen debuts in between the two-part Infinity War. No matter who ends up involved in Phase 3's epic conclusion, Thanos will finally be vanquished and the landscape of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will have changed forever, with the inevitable Phase 4 facing an impossibly tough act to follow.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
