10 Things We Actually Wanted From The Star Wars Sequel Trilogy

6. A Luke, Han, Leia, And Chewie Reunion

Speaking of legendary trios, is there a more recognisable collection of central protagonists than the heroic faces found taking it to the Empire during A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi?

However, despite all being present at various points in The Force Awakens, the baffling call was made to completely ignore what could've been the most satisfying reunion in modern movie history.

Han Solo very much picked back up where he left off with his beloved Leia Organa, at least, with the ever-loyal Chewbacca also being present during the smuggler's attempts to help Rey, Finn, and the Resistance. Yet, Luke's infuriatingly short cameo coming so late on ensured that fans didn't get the chance to see the loveable trio and their furry mate share one last scene together before Solo's fatal meeting with Kylo Ren.

No one was begging for the likes of Luke, Leia, Han, Lando Calrissian, Threepio, and R2 to steal the spotlight away from the new generation and hijack the latest chapters in the Skywalker Saga. But one quick handshake between Solo and Skywalker before Leia gave the two silly blokes and Chewie a big ol' squeeze as the rest of the gang watched on after all these years should've been a no-brainer, right?
