10 Things You Never Knew About Ferris Bueller's Day Off

5. A Lot Of Lines Were Improvised

This movie has a bunch of improvised lines that you would never have guessed weren€™t written. There€™s a scene when Grace, the secretary, pretends to be the principal and improvises all of her lines. There€™s another scene where Ferris is playing the clarinet horribly, which is also completely improvised. And who could forget Ben Stein€™s famous economics lecture? No, the whole €œBueller? Bueller?€ line wasn€™t made up on the spot, but the rest of his lines were. The actor wasn€™t even originally meant to be onscreen. He was only supposed to do a voiceover while the camera showed the class, but Hughes changed his mind once he met Stein.

Holly Riordan hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
