10 Things You'll Never Believe Are Being Made Into Movies

1. Trolls

What Is It?: Thomas Dam's Troll dolls, cute plastic dolls with fluffy, funny-coloured hair and gem-stones in their tummies. And It's Weird Because...?: They're inanimate objects, and I like them that way. That said, even with a dodgy director (Mike Mitchell) at the helm, the fact that Jason Schwartzman and Chloe Moretz have been cast in lead roles has a certain allure, because if a voice is going to be given to these toys, it may as well be voices that I like to listen to. The film will be CGI-animated, which makes sense, and though it's an odd thing to adapt into a movie, there's a chance that with some phantasmagoric, trippy visuals, this one might actually work against the odds. Reportedly being pitched as a musical comedy, we've got a long while to wait for the film, as its release isn't scheduled until November 2016.
