10 Times An Actor Went On An INSANE Streak Of Great Movies
2. Clint Eastwood: Seven Films From 1971 - 1974
The Films: The Beguiled, Play Misty for Me, Dirty Harry, Joe Kidd, Magnum Force, High Plains Drifter, and Thunderbolt and Lightfoot
Clint Eastwood is a Hollywood legend whose work in film began in 1955 and continued without interruption for decades. He has worked as an actor, producer, and award-winning director on some of the best films to come out of the Spaghetti Western genre, but his talents aren't limited to Westerns.
Looking back through his filmography, there are few films that don't rate highly with most garnering stellar scores. The man has acted in dozens of films over the years and has several impressive streaks. His first streak of six films was from 1964 with A Fistful of Dollars and continued to '69's Where Eagles Dare, but that wasn't his longest.
In 1971, he starred in The Beguiled, which kicked off his longest streak of 7 films. It was followed by Play Misty for Me, Dirty Harry, Joe Kidd, Magnum Force, High Plains Drifter, and Thunderbolt and Lightfoot in 1974.
That streak of seven was undone by 1975's The Eiger Sanction, but by '76, he was already starring in The Outlaw Josey Wales, which is one of his best western films to date. He kicked off another four-film streak in 1992 with Unforgiven, which he also produced and directed.
