There are a lot of stories about Marlon Brando being a difficult man to work with, but despite his troubles on and off the set, the man was one amazing actor. Throughout his career, he took on some of the most important roles in cinema with performances that have made him immortal.

Who could forget his cries of "Stella" in A Streetcar Named Desire or his words to an infant Kal-El, "The son becomes the father and the father becomes the son" that he spoke in Superman? His words will stand the test of time and his success in the industry cannot be understated.

Marlon Brando's career spanned decades beginning in 1947 and lasting until 2001. In all those years, he performed in some of the best movies ever made, many of which make up his longest streak.

His streak kicked off in 1972 with The Godfather and continued with Last Tango in Paris, The Missouri Breaks, Superman, and Apocalypse Now.

The movie that finally put an end to his dominance of the box office was 1980's The Formula. Following that film, he starred in only ten more productions prior to his passing and while some of those films were hits, nothing compares to his work during the better part of the '70s.
