Dustin Hoffman is one of the greatest American actors of the 20th century. That statement is evident just looking back through his filmography, which has the veteran actor playing some of the most significant roles in movies since he began acting in 1960.

With more than 80 film credits to his name, it should come as no surprise to learn he has a streak or two in his career.

Not only does Hoffman have numerous streaks of amazing movies on his CV, he has the longest of any other actor in history. The film that kicked off his longest streak in 1970 was Little Big Man in which he played Jack Crabb.

That performance was followed by Straw Dogs, Papillon, Lenny, All the President's Men, Marathon Man, Straight Time, Kramer vs. Kramer, Agatha, and Tootsie, which may be his most iconic role.

The film that broke Hoffman's longest streak was Terror in Aisles in 1984, but that role was immediately followed by one of his all-time best. He portrayed Willy Loman in 1985's Death of a Salesman to widespread critical acclaim, though that role was followed by his performance in a film long been considered to be one of the worst movies ever made, 1987's Ishtar.
