10 Times James Bond Movie Franchise Went Too Far

1. The Entire Movie - Die Another Day

The invisible car is usually hailed as the most ridiculous gadget in Bond history. However, reflective cloaking devices for vehicles did exist at the time of Die Another Day's release. The tech is nowhere near as advanced as is depicted in the film but it's fictional entertainment at the end of the day.

Nevertheless, viewers tend to dwell on the invisible automobile as if the rest of Die Another Day isn't even more absurd. The film is littered with one-liners to the point where you worry the actors are going to trip over them. The theme song sounds like the opposite of music. In the final scene, the villain, Gustav Graves, dresses like a Power Ranger, making it impossible to take him seriously. Also, Graves's doomsday weapon is... the Sun. After watching Bond outdrive a star-powered laser, it's easy to forget this is a spy flick, not a comic book film.

If any scene deserves hate more than the invisible car, it has to be the ice surfing scene, which is filled with embarrassingly unrendered CGI. If you wondered whether the scene is as bad as you remember, I promise you it's worse.
