5. That Time He Said "Shocking" After He Electrocuted Somebody - Goldfinger

Back in the '60s, it seemed Bond could do anything he wanted and audiences would love him all the same. For the series' most iconic entry, Goldfinger, the filmmakers apparently wanted to test the waters early by having Bond do two completely horrendous things in the opening sequence. First, James uses the naked woman he's been "dating" as a shield, putting her in the way when a cosh-wielding badman enters their room and tries to attack Bond with it. The villain knocks the woman out cold, Bond throws her away like a piece of meat, and he goes on to fight the bad guy and deliver one of his greatest send-off lines. That would be "Shocking - positively shocking", after he throws the henchman into a full bath, then follows it up with an electric heater, sparking up the tub - and the bad guy in it - with thousands of volts. Bond just walks away, leaving his woman to clean up the mess. What a guy.
