Electro may get most of the stick for poor design work in the wake of the Amazing Spider-Man series, what with Jamie Foxx's see-through face and sweaty nerd combination, but there's a case that the Lizard's long-awaited screen debut sucked just as hard if not more so. Electro is a character where you can expect a bit of creative license to be employed to make him more visually interesting, hence the whole Dr Manhattan vibe, but The Lizard is a giant freaking lizard, how could that possibly be changed to such a terrible degree? As it turns out, pretty easily. I'm not suggesting that Marc Webb should have felt beholden to keeping his Lizard in ragged clothing as in the comics but seriously, who signed off on that squashed face? A misguided attempt to keep Rhys Ifans' likeness present lead to the stuff of nightmares, and what's worse is that, in shortening The Lizard's jaw, he doesn't even look much like any sort of lizard at all.
Stereotypically awkward writer, gamer and general nerd. Dislikes writing in the third person, likes tea as much as the next man but not as much as a typical blogger and has breath as fresh as a summer ham.
