10 Times Star Wars Totally Trolled You

7. Han Shot First

George Lucas, what a complicated little sausage you are.

The OG creator of Star Wars is also seen by some as one of its biggest hinderances. A large part of that opinion comes from the fact that he just wouldn't leave the movies alone before LucasFilm got sold off to Disney.

Much has been made of the various tweaks Lucas performed on the original trilogy in various re-releases. This list could have been entirely made up of just those, but there's one that stands out above the rest as the most egregious.

In the original 1977 cut of A New Hope, Han Solo shoots and kills Greedo before the bounty hunter can do the same to him. It's an iconic moment and a great introduction to Han's character.

However, for the 1997 special edition, Lucas changed it so that we see Greedo fire first and Han shoot him back in retaliation!

The whole "Han Shot First" controversy has spiralled way out of control since then, all because one old man wanted to muck about with something that was already fine as it was!

Thank Heavens Disney put a permanent end to George's meddling.
