10 Times The MCU Gave Fans EXACTLY What They Wanted

5. Netflix's Daredevil Joins The MCU - Spider-Man: No Way Home & Hawkeye

Though Netflix's various Defenders-themed TV shows are objectively part of the MCU, that statement has always been marked by a giant asterisk, given that they've never interacted with the "proper" movie MCU in any meaningful way.

That is, until Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Early on in the film, Peter gets himself a lawyer after being framed for Mysterio's (Jake Gyllenhaal) murder, and his lawyer ends up being none other than Matt Murdock aka Daredevil - who, in a majorly crowd-pleasing moment, is indeed played by Charlie Cox from the Netflix series.

It's a tiny cameo for Murdock, but one that confirms his place within the same world as the Avengers. As a terrific exclamation point, he makes his exit by catching a brick thrown through the window of Peter's home - all while Peter and company had no clue of his superheroic identity.

But it didn't stop there - literally the same week that No Way Home hit cinemas, Daredevil's nemesis Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) showed up in the Disney+ series Hawkeye, appearing as a brief-but-entertaining foil for Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld).

Better still, both Daredevil and Kingpin are set to re-appear in the upcoming Echo spin-off series, where hopefully the two will cross paths once more. You love to see it.
