10. Chinatown (Poland)
Over the course of this article, you're going to learn one thing: when it comes to insanely brilliant movie posters, it's
all about Poland - the guys who work in whatever marketing department is responsible for coming up with these ideas must be having the best time ever, what with the free reign they've apparently been given: these artists seem to decide what to feature on the posters at complete random. If you've ever seen
Chinatown, you're probably well aware that there's a scene where Jack Nicholson's character, private detective J.J. Gittes, gets his nose slashed with a knife. Which is what, I think, they've tried to convey here, despite the fact that it's a very minor aspect of the movie. Note how the knife featured on this poster is going directly
up Jack's nose. At least, I think that's supposed to be Jack.
