10 Underappreciated Marvel Superheroes Who Deserve Their Own Movies

1. Moon Knight

Moon Knight
Marvel Comics

Introduced in 1981, Mark Spencer – aka, Moon Knight – represented Marvel’s answer to DC’s Batman, a mercenary and expert in espionage capable of transforming himself into various alternating personalities, making him a dangerous infiltrator. Resurrected, the character soon adopted the titular persona and became a crime-fighter, using his superpowers to create multiple unique personalities, constructing a network of informants, even generating his own revenue.

Naturally, the character is remarkably versatile, his multiple identities opening up numerous possibilities, involving any number of pre-established superheroes. Moon Knight’s adaptive personalities are enormously strenuous – placing a tremendous strain on his mental state – meaning the character could eventually transition into a sympathetic villain. Alternatively, Moon Knight would make an excellent addition to the Avengers, so there’s that too.
