You could do a lot worse than make your feature film debut in Superbad, the raucously funny 2007 comedy that took Jonah Hill to the edge of the A-list and cemented Judd Apatows standing as the comedy genres MVP. Jennifer Lawrence was almost cast in the role of Jules, the classmate Hills Seth leaves with a black eye when his attempts to impress her take a lunging left turn, but its hard to imagine any actress doing more with the part than Stone. Blessed with an amiable screen presence and easy charm, it was immediately obvious that we would be seeing plenty more of her in years to come. Her sassy, down-to-earth nature won Stone the role of Wichita in cult favourite Zombieland and the lead in underappreciated teen comedy Easy A, while further appearances in Friends With Benefits and Crazy, Stupid, Love. marked her out as a rom-com natural. Indeed, Stone is still best known for playing Gwen Stacy opposite real-life beau Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man films, but hopefully not for much longer. Stone appeared in Oscar winner The Help a few years ago and is currently enjoying rave notices for her role in awards contender Birdman. Evidently she is capable of so much more than playing likeable love interests, and the years ahead should prove that beyond any doubt.
I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
