Another actor who suffered from featuring in a comic book franchise at an inopportune moment, Ben Foster played Warren Worthington III, aka Angel, in X-Men: The Last Stand. It didnt do much to improve his career, but fortunately Foster is more than capable of taking care of that all by himself. The following year saw Foster appear alongside Russell Crowe and Christian Bale in 3:10 To Yuma and promptly blow them both off the screen as outlaw Charlie Prince, and upstaging his more gilded co-stars has become a regular occurrence. Foster steals scenes as a matter of course, effortlessly commanding the audiences attention in Alpha Dog, Kill Your Darlings, Aint Them Bodies Saints and Lone Survivor, and his career could reach new heights in the next year or two. Icon is scheduled for release in 2015 and sees Foster saddle up to play disgraced former icon Lance Armstrong, so its certainly conceivable that the actor might become an awards contender for his performance. On the commercial side of things, Foster will appear in Warcraft when Duncan Jones much-delayed fantasy film finally lands in 2016, so the versatile actor should soon make his mark as a lead actor of distinction.
