8. Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride - Lilo and Stitch

Just thinking about Lilo and Stitch makes me want to hug something fluffy and never let it go.

This masterpiece of a movie effortlessly blends a fantastic sci-fit concept with a sweet, gut-wrenching story about family, loss, and why Hawaii is the best place in the world.

The song's soundtrack is mostly Elvis Presley tunes, a nod towards The King's notorious history with the island, but it does feature two original tracks from Hawaiian musician, Mark Kealiʻi Hoʻomalu, and The Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus.

The track in question plays over a scene of Stitch and his ohana surfing, despite the blue alien's deathly fear of water.

"Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" transports you right into the middle of the scene, capturing the essence of a carefree Hawaiian evening on the waves. It's a beautiful blend of traditional chanting and modern production that is an ideal backing track to this moment of respite for the film's troubled characters.

This scene celebrates some of the best aspects of Hawaii and the song plays a major role in that.

Take this one with you next time you hit the beach.
