9. Mary Jane Gets Kidnapped (Again) – Spider-Man 3
Poor Mary Jane. In every movie, she gets kidnapped at some point and has to wait for Spider-Man to come and save her. Whilst this isn’t particularly funny in the first two movies, by the time we get to Spider-Man 3, it’s hard not to smirk as Mary Jane gets kidnapped yet again.
To make matters worse, she has a habit of screaming hysterically whenever she’s in distress. Sure, this does make sense given how much danger she’s in, but her high-pitched screeches become rather wearisome by the third movie.
In fairness to Mary Jane, she does contribute to Spider-Man’s fight against Venom by throwing a block of concrete, but for the most part, her kidnappings consist of little but endless amounts of screaming.
