10 Upcoming 2014 Films That Could Beat Guardians Of The Galaxy At The Box Office
4. Penguins Of Madagascar
Much like the Ice Age movies, the Madagascar franchise has become more popular and financially lucrative with each new instalment, and DreamWorks Animation will be hoping that Penguins of Madagascar continues the trend. In this spin-off from the original series, the much-loved espionage team of Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private will link up with the North Wind, an inter-species task force, to stop Dr. Octavius Brine from destroying the world as we know it. The penguins have already appeared in their own animated series and Penguins of Madagascar was originally conceived as a direct-to-video film (man do we need another phrase for that by now). However, in the same vein as the forthcoming Despicable Me offshoot Minions, the popularity of these characters has bagged them their own big-screen adventure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10OTg6lD4Jc Why the Guardians should be worried: These penguins already have a devoted following and droves of kiddies will be dragging their parents to movie theatres to enjoy this outing. Penguins of Madagascar opens a couple of weeks after Big Hero 6 and has no significant animated competition for a long while thereafter. The film might not match the totals of the last couple of Madagascar entries, but a bumper haul is all but assured.
I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
