4. Penguins Of Madagascar

Much like the Ice Age movies, the Madagascar franchise has become more popular and financially lucrative with each new instalment, and DreamWorks Animation will be hoping that Penguins of Madagascar continues the trend. In this spin-off from the original series, the much-loved espionage team of Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private will link up with the North Wind, an inter-species task force, to stop Dr. Octavius Brine from destroying the world as we know it. The penguins have already appeared in their own animated series and Penguins of Madagascar was originally conceived as a direct-to-video film (man do we need another phrase for that by now).
