There is always a plan set out when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and currently there is a full slate ultimately stretching towards Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, with plenty releasing in between.

The future of the MCU will bring the likes of Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, Fantastic Four: First Steps, and more, but as of yet there has been absolutely no word from Kevin Feige surrounding a third Black Panther film.

It was always likely to happen, considering that it is arguably one of Marvel Studios' most popular and successful franchises, with the titular mantle being picked up so brilliantly by Letitia Wright's Shuri. As such, anticipation would have been high anyway, but recently none other than Denzel Washington has claimed that Ryan Coogler is writing a part in Black Panther 3 specifically for him. This is huge.

Naturally, to get someone of Denzel's talents and star power is immediately an enormous win for any film, although this could go far deeper in connecting back to T'Challa's memory. Considering the legendary actor's connection to the late Chadwick Boseman, who once stated that there would be no Black Panther without Denzel Washington, this has the chance to be something truly special.
