10 Upcoming Movie Sequels We Can't Wait To See

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem may have stolen the show in 2023, but it certainly wasn't the first animated feature based around a group of superheroes to do so. In 2018, Into the Spider-Verse took the world by storm. Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson), Gwen Stacey (Hailee Steinfeld), and a few multiversal friends came together and saved the day in style.

Five years later when Miles returned, Across the Spider-Verse didn't disappoint. In the current phase of multiversal movies, Sony's efforts are outstanding pieces, triumphs in both storytelling and animation. Having said that however, particularly coming off the cliffhanger set up by the sequel, the third movie could raise this incredibly high bar even higher.

At the end of Across the Spider-Verse, Miles found himself lost on Earth-42 on the run from the Spider Society, captured by an alternate version of himself as the Prowler, with Gwen and Peter B. Parker racing against Miguel O'Hara (Oscar Isaac) to get to Miles first, all because Miles didn't want his dad to be killed. It feels as though there will be fireworks from the very beginning when Beyond the Spider-Verse arrives.

The original release date for the third entry in the franchise was March 2024, but after being delayed reportedly due to the SAG-AFRA strike in 2023, there is yet to be a solid date given. As upsetting as it is to think this could have been seen nine months ago, this is the kind of film that will be worth the wait.
