10 Upcoming Movie Sequels We Can't Wait To See
3. Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning
Mission: Impossible became iconic in the 1990s and early 2000s, yet somehow, as Tom Cruise has gotten older and as more and more movies have come in the franchise, the series has simply gotten better and better.
The stunts have gotten wilder, the globetrotting stories have grown bigger as the stakes have been raised, and the supporting cast around Ethan Hunt has only become more impressive. In fact, there hasn't been a Tomatometer score lower than 94% since Mission: Impossible 3 way back in 2006, and it seems as though they may be saving their best for last.
In 2025, The Final Reckoning will pick up from where Dead Reckoning left off. Ethan and Grace (Hayley Attwell) have got their hands on the Entity's key, and know that they have to get to Sevastopol. However, the submarine that holds the key's lock is buried in the frozen ocean, not to mention the other interested parties that will be on the IMF's tail and the connection back to the very beginning of Ethan Hunt's story.
Whenever a movie franchise with the longevity of Mission: Impossible ends, which it seems almost certain to do after the eighth instalment, there is bound to be anticipation, regardless of the quality. The Final Reckoning genuinely has the potential to be the best the series has ever put out.
