It's rare that a trailer comes along that makes an upcoming comedy movie look genuinely funny - either there are no jokes at all because the studio are saving them all for the actual flick, or all the good jokes are in the trailer and you can smell the desperation clinging to every deployed gag. But where Let's Be Cops is concerned, well... the trailer seems to strike the perfect balance, leaving us both entertained and eager to see the actual movie. The premise is simple: two friends (Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr.) dress up as cops for a costume party and are mistaken for the real thing. And so begins their new lives as fake cops. The chemistry between these two is genuinely great (they work together on TV's New Girl, don't you know?), and the laughs seem fresh and interesting (well, for a movie about fake cops they do, anyway). Here's how you nail a comedy movie trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExciLtpHp74
