10 Upcoming Movies That Will (Probably) Tease Cinematic Universes

It goes without saying that most children grew up on some sort of cartoon series. And if it wasn't Disney, then the chances are it was the Hannah-Barbera cartoons. Scooby-Doo in particular has gone through many iterations over the years, with fans of the series in heated debate over which are the definitive ones. Well, Warner Bros' Scoob! also wants to throw its hat into the ring.

Set to release in may next year, the 3D animated reboot will see the likes of Zac Efron, Gina Rodriguez, and a returning Frank Welker (as Scooby Doo himself) voice the members of Mystery Incorporated. However, other famous Hannah-Barbera characters have already been listed to appear in the film, such as Captain Caveman and Dick Dastardly.

There will be very little teasing about it, so to speak, as Warner Bros. seems to be pushing a shared animated universe from the get-go, wasting no time with tedious winks and nods to a greater world around them. Although, one has to wonder if Warner Bros. will have a "The Mummy" on their hands: a movie so focused on the bigger picture that it forgets to be a Scooby Doo one. Only time will tell, I'm afraid.
