10 Upcoming Movies From This Year's Oscar Winners That You Shouldn't Miss

7. The Hobbit: There And Back Again - Cate Blanchett

Release Date: December 16, 2014 Another bit part for Cate Blanchett, perhaps, but she's still set to feature in the third - and what will hopefully emerge to be the best - entry in Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Hobbit. Reviews have been mixed thus far, of course, though the second chapter - subtitled The Desolation Of Smaug - did win around more fans that the first entry, which was criticised for its pacing and overuse of special effects. Blanchett appeared as stoic elf Galadriel in both. The last chapter in the trilogy brings together everyone for a final battle to end all final battles, and there's no doubt that Peter Jackson - given his skills for large-scale battle sequences - will leave an impression. So, yes, Blanchett's role will be small here, but she will bring weight and mystery to Galadriel as she always does. However you feel about The Hobbit thus far, though, this is bound to be the one entry you really don't want to miss.
